Senior Data Analyst
My client, a global medical technology company based in the midlands, is currently seeking to add a Senior Data Analyst to their expanding team. You will join the software engineering team but work independently to lead the development of the global scale data offerings.
You will be working for a company that makes a real impact on the world. You will be part of a global team but based in the midlands. There are opportunities for global travel if this appeals to you.
The Role:
* Understand core business data to add value to the customer
* Produce impactful data visualisations and dashboards with a variety of visualisation tools
* Maintain high levels of data quality
* Acquire relevant data from third party sources and integrate into core data sets
* Recommend data security and privacy controls
* Work with academic partners in the development of new analytic algorithms
* Mentor junior team members and facilitate skills development and transfer
* Stay up-to-date with new tools and technologies
* Provide recommendations for data architecture to director level
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience delivering enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions
* Strong data visualisation skills e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI etc
* Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL, data wrangling and data modelling
* Experienced in SQL, Python, ideally also data streaming technologies such as Kafka
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
* Excellent ability to communicate and work as part of a cross-functional team
* Degree level education in an area such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Software Engineering
