The client is an Irish business which operates in the retail sector across Ireland. They are headquartered on the Southside of Dublin and have multiple outlets across the country. They are continuing to expand acquiring additional sites that meet their criteria. As part of that growth they are seeking to appoint a Software support Specialist to join their IT team.  

 You will work closely with the IT Director and will be involved in the support and further development of the group's software needs including their in-house integrated business trading system and there POS systems. You will be based in their southside headquarters with occasional travel to their satellite outlets as required. 

You will provide software solutions to meet management requirements, taking projects from initial concept to full implementation including integration with other software. In addition you will have a role in both training and supporting end-users within the group, and producing support documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years software support experience with, ideally, application development exposure. In addition you should have strong database skills, SQL and an understanding of table structures (PostgreSQL an advantage). VB.Net skills would be ideal as would exposure to Crystal report writing.
