The Automation Engineer will be highly experienced automation and equipment processes. Ideally the Automation Engineer will have a degree in an software, engineering or computer science field with 5 years experience in industry.
Responsibilities:
* Document and validate automation projects
* Configure, install and commission hardware and software systems
* Development of technical and material requirements
* Develop, test and install PLC and control software as part of a highly automated, high volume 24/7 validated production environment
* Execute factory automation projects from concept to completion
* Work within a cross-functional multidisciplinary team environment.
* Participate within project teams, provide technical support and make informed decisions on hardware and architecture selection.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of code
* Prioritise multiple tasks while working to tight schedules
* Develop, deploy and maintain SCADA / HMI systems
* Develop, debug and validate Control System software programs
* Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify automation software
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules
* Highly motivated self-starter
* Ability to document own work clearly and precisely
* Produce reports and technical data
Education and Experience:
* Degree in Software, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent
* Experience with automation and Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation product expertise
* Working knowledge of communication and control systems
* Have worked in a highly automated manufacturing or factory environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
