Network Engineer

My client based in Dublin has a requirement for a Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role will require hands on technical leadership to ensure that the network and security infrastructure is maintained to a high level.

* Dublin City Centre
* 6 month contract

Role

* Maintain the availability, performance and security of a multi-site network
* Identify, test and develop new tech that increases business value
* Identify technology and security gaps and implement solutions
* Create guidelines, policies and procedures and maintain clear and accurate network documentation
* Asses configurations on a range of network equipment such as Juniper, Cisco and Checkpoint
* Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP protocols

Requirements

* 5+ years network design experience
* Hands on experience with L2/L3 network design, development and implementation
* Experience with load-balancing, firewalls and security systems
* Knowledge of application protocols
* Strong network troubleshooting skills
