itContracting are currently seeking applicants for an IT Oversight Manager. This is a permanent position based with our client, a global financial services company, in South Dublin.
The role will work within our client's IT Oversight and Data Governance and Protection team, and will ultimately ensure an effective technology control and governance environment is operational across all business areas. The role will require close working with first line, 1.5 line and IT function resources in Europe and the USA to be successful.
Key Responsibilities
* Technology (IT and Information Security) related policy ownership, implementation and validation
* Technology risk management framework maintenance and development
* Technology risk assessment and management of key technology risks
* Definition and enhancement as appropriate of IT related outsourcing SLAs and KPI tracking
* Oversight of the IT and IS risk and control self- assessment process
* Supporting effective IT asset management
* Technology projects oversight and alignment across multiple business lines
* Reviewing emerging regulatory / best practice guidance and compliance
* Internal and external technology-related audit preparation and follow up
* Technology controls testing, reporting and enhancement as required
* Technology issues oversight
* Contribute to senior operating committee reporting including the IT Governance Committee
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience Required:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
* 10 years + experience in Technology/ Information Security related fields
* Experience in IT and IS and risk management
* Certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA would be useful
Preferred Skills/ Experience:
The ideal candidate will have;
* Financial services industry experience
* Experience in IT audit and IT/ IS risk management
* Development of or contributed to an IT risk management framework
* An understanding of/ and experience in defining and measuring technology related key performance indicators
* An understanding of IT outsourcing in a regulated environment, SLA and SOW expectations
* Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
* An understanding of Data Governance concepts
* Strong organisational, analytical, and execution skills
* Ability to learn and communicate key risk management concepts
* Ability to research and manage multiple initiatives/ projects and deadlines simultaneously
* Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
* Flexibility and agility, with an 'anticipate and avoid' mind-set
* Strong PC skills and computer support system knowledge, MS Office Suite, and experience of Risk Management Systems (e.g. Archer)
