Level 2 IT Support Engineer (Contract)
My client is an IT service provider based in Galway, looking for a proactive Level 2 Service Desk Engineer. You will be required to work on both helpdesk and deployment, and resolve customer issues in an efficient manner
* Provide 2nd line technical support via various communication channels
* Work closely with IT support staff to obtain technical knowledge to permanently solve main problems
* Troubleshooting and resolving calls at first point of contact and raise tickets to escalate problems as appropriate
* Knowledge retention - participate in documentation of technical procedures
* Perform as a team leader for desk projects and assignments when required
* Be willing to participate in training designed to enhance skills and capabilities
* Follow staffing schedule
* Ensure all KPI's are met
* 3+ years in an IT support environment
* 3rd Level Diploma/Degree
* Virtualisation support experience
* Troubleshooting skills
* Experience with MS OS Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, backup, Windows 7,8,10 and Server 2008/12/16
* TCP/IP networking, Switches, Routers and wireless network exposure
* Any of the following - CCNA, Comptia + or MCITP, MCSA.
* Advanced/Higher Certificate
