The Business Analyst will work as a Requirements Engineer interacting with external stakeholders and the internal development team. The Business Analyst ideally be coming from a biologics, microbiology or laboratory setting with experience with software development with an Agile team. The Business Analyst will be a strategic thinker and have experience with medical software.

Main Duties of the Product Owner

* Analyse information, generate functional requirements, and help derive solutions.
* Eliciting and defining product requirements
* Work with product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritise stories in the solution backlog
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and draw up technical requirements
* Create user requirement stories, acceptance criteria and ensure that stories meet the Definition of Ready
* Work with the software engineering scrum team to determine the best method to break down work items
* Participate as a scrum team member to deliver incremental functionality for every sprint
* Work with other software analysts to increase business analysis acumen across the group
* Review product documentation (internal and external) and test cases
* Provide status reports as needed and present data at appropriate meetings
* Perform other related duties and assignments as required

Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering
* 4-5 plus years experience in analytical or microbiology systems in a regulated environment preferred
* Excellent project management skills
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Experience and understanding of medical software
* Excellent communicator and analytical skills
