Scala Developer - Contract

Great opportunity for a Scala developer to join a leading software company in Dublin. You'll be working alongside a team of Scala experts who are at the top of their game and well regarded within the local Scala community.

You'll be working on developing a large suite of microservices / REST API based systems which sit right in the middle of huge enterprise system. You'll be developing hugely scalable applications which are used by hundreds of thousands of people on a daily basis.

It's a great environment for a software engineer, they are always open to change and if there is a better tool for the job or a more efficient process to be used, your opinion will be taken on board and changes made fast - little bureaucracy here.

Desired Skills / Experience

* 4+ years software development expereince
* Proven commercial experience with Scala, ideally at least 1 year
* Expereince with the Play framework (v2) strongly desired
* Strong understanding of Microservices / REST API architectures
* Strong understanding of AWS / scalability etc.
* Familiar with CI/CD, Jenkins, JIRA etc.
