Software Engineer
Equisoft are seeking bright, energetic Software Developers with 1+ years experience to join our growing professional team. You will be working with a collaborative group of IT specialists and will have an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a very progressive company. We seek candidates who demonstrate a real passion for development and are comfortable working alongside other software engineers and their large portfolio of clients to deliver high quality, scalable applications.
Job Profile:
- Developing high quality scalable applications for desktop, mobile and the web
- Working in a collaborative team utilising Agile methodologies
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and tracking of projects
- Maintaining and supporting existing products
- Passionate about learning new technologies and applying these new skills to real-life projects
Relevant Skills:
- A third level qualification with an IT focus
- A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, data structures (SQL), algorithms, object-oriented design and systems architecture
- Able to write clean, testable, readable and maintainable code
- Understands fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable engaging with clients on an ongoing basis
- Ability to travel depending on client/project location
- A motivated attitude with a focus on delivery to our client's requirements
Bonus points for experience in the following:
- MS SQL Server
- C# and familiarity with the .NET framework
- Creating mobile applications in Appeon, Xamarin or Native
- Coldfusion, Ruby, CSS, Javascript, JSON, jQuery, Angular JS or similar libraries and frameworks
- Consuming and creating RESTFul Web Services
- MS Azure
- PowerBuilder/Visual Basic
