Deskside Support Engineer (Level 1)

Our client is a multinational IT company, with significant operations across Dublin.
Right now, they require a Deskside Support Engineer (Level 1) with experienced in Technical Support, to work onsite within a major 1000+ user environment.
This is a fantastic career opportunity for a Level 1 Support Engineer (looking to move up into Level 2).
Day-to-day activity includes resolving a wide variety of laptop software and hardware issues and requests, while minimizing disruption to our users.
Typical Duties:
* Providing 1st and 2nd level desktop/laptop support
* In line with SLA, monitor call management (ticketing) system - continuous updating and closing of calls as resolved
* Provide support for an IT Helpdesk Walk-in Service Centre (i.e. Installs, Break/Fix, HW/OS Refresh, Conf Rooms/AV Support, Remote Sites and Home User support, Telephony Support etc.)
* Support Wireless office environment
* Provide proactive support to all customers
* Participate in Project based assignments (as required)
* Document and keep processes & procedures up to date
* Participate in weekly Audio-Visual maintenance schedule when required, log and resolve issues
* Supporting Training Room environment
Experience/Skills:
* Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar busy Helpdesk environment required
* Excellent/professional communication skills and customer interaction abilities
* Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision (Essential)
* Excellent hardware knowledge (Desktops, Laptops, Monitors, AV equipment etc.)
* Experience in Hardware/Operating Systems Refresh/Rollout activity
* Proficient knowledge of Windows OS (Win8, 8.1, 10) and Microsoft Office suite
* Full Clean Driving License
* Manual Handling
