Solution Architect

You'll be a key player on a huge transformation project taking apart a suite of old monolith applications and helping implementing a new digital strategy based on an API / microservices architecture. The applications being worked on help thousand of people on a daily basis. This role will involve the review of an old dinosaur, recommending the best strategy to improve it and then going ahead with the implementation.

The role requires a tech savy API architect / solution architect to work on a completely greenfield API redesign / microservices implementation. You will review a large API system with multiple legacy features and recommend how to implement a new API architecture to improve performance and operability of the business and customer facing applications. The company find themselves with an amount of technical debt which needs to be assessed and redeveloped.

This is a hand-off role, however a strong understanding of how the nuts and bolts connect along with governance and security are important. Past experience as a developer (Java) will come in handy.

Desired Profile

Solid experience working as a Solution / API architect
Deep understanding of API architectures
Experience designing highly scalable, high performance API systems
Experience designing SOA architectures
Experience with enterprise cloud applications nice to have
Ability to recommend best tools / software to implement new software strategies
The role is based within a Java environment, knowledge of Java / JEE / Spring is preferred.
