Senior Web Application Developer (Polyglot) – Dublin 2

Based in Dublin 2 (on the Green Luas) my client is a multinational household name in large scale IT Project Management who have engaged IT Search to speak to a Senior Web Developer to take on responsibility for the design, creation and ongoing maintenance of a significant number of web applications across various internal teams and processes.

This role is a mix of technical execution and also requirements gathering and liaising with the Marketing Departments, Senior Management and also internal teams of junior web developers.

As this is very much a “polyglot” role, ideally, you’ll have worked of late on various Javascript libraries (client side) but also have had exposure to Python (Flask) but if possible have had exposure perhaps earlier in your career to more legacy languages such as ColdFusion for example (or at least a willingness to roll up your sleeves and take time to understand how some legacy languages operate).

Ultimately, this role’s main responsibility is to deliver web-based projects at the same time as bringing your expertise as a Senior Developer to bear on improving existing systems and processes over time.

As this is a senior role, candidates should have at least ten years of commercial experience and team leadership experience (or mentoring) will be a pre-requisite.
