Network Engineer - CCNA/CCNP

The Role
My client, a very well know entertainment company are currently looking for a talented individual to join their IT infrastructure team as a Network Engineer.
You will be reporting directly to the IT Operations Manager and will be one the technical contacts on all Network related issues. A regular day will include the daily monitoring of the networks, troubleshooting and ensuring that services run smoothly. A key point of this role will be to explore and investigate all issues ensuring that the correct procedures are put in place so it does not happen again.
You will also be given the chance to be involved in key projects of the company:
1 The complete build and installation of a new business centre
2 The moving and reinstall of a current disaster recovery site
These opportunities will give you complete access to racking, stacking, configuration of the networks.
Key responsibilities of the Network Engineer:
* Manage & Troubleshoot the entire network (100+ devices) between Ireland & Central Europe to included LAN, WAN, VPN
* Support the Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches, VPN's, Firewalls
* Evaluate new and emerging technologies that could assist the business
* Design networks
* Maintain and repair networks
As a Network Engineer you will have:
* 3-5 years in a Networking role
* Background in implementing networks and working Microsoft servers, Microsoft SQL servers, Hyper-V virtualized environments
* Professional certs in Cisco such as CCNA or CCNP
* Bachelors degree in computer science or similar
* Experience with HP/Cisco L2/L3 switches, Palo Alto, Routers, ASA firewalls
* Extra language - French - highly desirable
* Knowledge of AWS is advantageous
