Software Engineer - Full Stack [JavaSscript/CSS/HTML/REST]
Role:
Our client is a rapidly growing Irish robotics company that is revolutionising warehouse automation. They design solutions based on mobile robots to automate e-commerce and retail warehouses, dramatically increasing both productivity and flexibility.
They are currently seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to develop and maintain our client's REST API's and GUI for their warehouse system. The role will involve understanding customer requirements and translating these requirements into production features utilising our client's solution architecture. The chosen candidate will report directly to Head of Research and Development.
Gain experience in
* Design of front end applications using a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
* Development of REST API's to support front end applications and interact our client's full solution architecture
* Translate application storyboards, customer requirements and use cases into functional applications
* Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
* Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
* Help maintain code quality, organisation and automatisation
* Keeps up to date with latest technologies and trends
Requirements:
* BSc. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
* Proficiency in Front-end Coding and Design with Vue/Angular/React or similar
* Experience with full stack web development including APIs and databases (Redis, PostgreSQl)
* Proficient with REST API development using NodeJS, Flask or similar
* Familiarity with CS basics: algorithms, design and coding
* Experience with web technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
* Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
* Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
* Experience using docker and docker compose
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Gitlab
* Familiarity with Agile design processes
* Comfortable with continuous integration such as Jenkins
* Excellent communicator, patient with others and contributes to the success of the team
* Written and oral fluency in English
* Willingness to be flexible with working hours when required to support customer requirements
* Travel may be required <10%
