Responsibilities

·        Ensure that our platform(s) is/are the most secure platform in the world. As we look to build digital currency platform we are 100% focused on ensure that we are immune to breaches. Building the security to prevent such breaches and ensuring that is properly maintained will be your primary responsibility.

·        Build/deploy/maintain security-critical services

·        Build /deploy/maintain security controls, instrumentation and detection infrastructure

·        Develop and foster partnerships with key business groups to ensure that the right tools and services are delivered to the right people at the right time.

·        Building out the Security Engineering program and team on key engagements

·        Partner with product teams on security-critical projects

·        Developing measurable metrics to show growth in capabilities

·        Champion Security within the organization

·        Run potential partnerships with Cyber Security firms

·        Given breaches are the number one cause of death amongst digital currency companies, security is core to our mission and has been a key competitive differentiator for us as we scale.

·        Investigate security events, or better yet, automate the investigation and remediation of security events

·        Conduct in-depth research on attacker profiles and infrastructure to better predict and prevent future attacks

Requirements

·        Significant experience as an engineering leader

·        Strong foundation in security topics such as Cryptography, Authentication/Authorization, etc

·        Profiicient in a modern high-level language (Python, C, C++, C#, Golang

·        Strong understanding of AWS services and architectures

·        Can describe nature of security attacks and counter measure based on Blockchain consensus model applied

·        Significant experience in incident detection, incident response and forensics

Preferred

·        Experience mitigating DDoS attacks

·        Experience with executing incident response in virtual and containerized environments

·        Experience conducting research on threat actors and their methodologies

The Candidate should have:

·        Have a university degree in Computer Science or a related field

·        Be familiar with open-source software

·        Have an active GitHub profile and willingness to contribute to community

·        Understand the ICO and token creation processes

·        Understand the blockchain start-up culture

Personality traits:

·        Deal with ambiguity and high-stress environments

·        Communicate well with both technical and non-technical teams

·        Collaborate and share knowledge with other developers
