Basic Function

Performs professional software testing functions. Routine testing functions are performed
independently but may assist in testing and other functions of a moderately complex nature in
conjunction with more senior software testers and software engineers. Creates new and maintains existing automation scripts. Executes new and existing automated regression tests to identify, document, retest and track discovered defects to closure.

Duties and Responsibilities

1 Design and Develop tools to support Test Automation Strategy (conversion tools, standards, checkers)
2 Execute and Analyze Automated Regression Test Scripts to ensure stability and quality of our Products.
3 Report Automated Regression Test results. Create and maintain required process
documentation as needed.
4 Identify, report, retest and track product defects to closure. Interface with product developers and quality analysts as needed.
5 Participates in project-level verification activities (reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs) to become familiar with the project requirements, design, etc
6 Implements and executes product-level system and installation tests. Analyzes results,
generates defect reports in the call tracking system, and verifies fixes.
7 Liaise with QA team, Developers, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
8 Plan, implement and execute detailed system level test scripts for test automation.
9 Identify and clearly communicate potential project issues.
10 Suggest opportunities for test automation.

Required Skills and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or quality assurance.
* Experience with database applications, client-server applications, or web-based applications, preferably in quality assurance.
* Experience in software testing/test automation including the use of a test automation tool such as TestComplete or Selenium.
* Use of Defect Tracking Tool such as JIRA
* Ability to understand and interpret VBScript code.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* A willingness to learn is essential.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
* Knowledge of different testing techniques

Desirable Skills and Experience

* Proficient in Python or similar scripting language, preferably with experience in a test automation context.
* Experience working with a test management tool, ideally Adaptavist.

* API testing experience, ideally using JMeter
