Technical Analyst - Partner Operations

The Role:

Our Client is looking for a Technical Analyst to join their Partner Operations team. They provide the technology, they deliver to their customers and are the subject matter experts for partners.

Reporting to the head of partner operations, the technical analyst plays a vital role in delivering workable solutions to the wide variety of issues that their international partners can provide. They will be responsible for: fire fighting, peace brokering, cheerleading, and the occasional bit of hand-holding during difficult launches. There may also be a bit of C#, SQL querying, and mucking about with batch scripts.

The Person:

As a member of the partner operations team, your day-to-day activities will include:

* Being the main point of contact for partner questions - you may not know the answer, but it's your responsibility to track down the person that does, ask them, and get the answer back to the partner.
* Meetings with partners to discuss open issues and new projects. These are usually over Webex, but sometimes in person
* Working with developemnt teams to design new tools and features and troubleshoot the older ones
* Finding smarter ways to respond to their partners - Is there something that can automated, or a better way to present information to partners?

The Skillset:

Required:

* Communication skills - when you understand something and someone else does not, are you able to explain it to them?
* Technical skills including SQL, C# and scripting
* Can you take on challenges and see them through, yet know when to stop and ask for help?
* Initiative & Creativity - Can you think on your feet, find ways around problems?
* The boring stuff - every job has it, everyone needs to do it. Documentation, presentations etc. Get creative, do it in a new way, make it fun.
* Experience - It's always good if you have worked somewhere else for 2 or 3 years to be able to bring what you have learned into our team.
* Education - A degree or higher would be awesome. Ideally in Computer Science or Engineering but, if you studied something else and have relevant work experience, that's ok too.

Nice to Haves:

* Experience working with and bringing a level of professionalism to partners, vendors, or other 3rd parties
* Speak any additional languages? French, German, Dutch, Spanish or Japanese?
* Links to open source projects you've contributed to
* Links to communities you've participated in and helped
* Links to live web sites or applications you've contributed to
