IT Audit Manager

Role:
Our client is a leading professional services firm based in Dublin. They have recently reorganised their IT audit team due to a number of significant and high profile external/ financial audit wins of large PIE clients, to add to their existing portfolio (Axa, NAMA, Central Bank of Ireland, Elavon FS, and GAA amongst others).
They now have a vacancy for an ambitious and enthusiastic IT audit manager to take over a portfolio of IT external audit clients, lead the further development of the IT external audit methodology and team.
The proposed manager would act as the lead (reporting to the IT audit partner) for the IT audit of our client's external audit clients, and would also contribute to a range of IT internal audit, SOC and audit advisory assignments outside the busy season.

Main Responsibilities:
* Simultaneously managing multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity
* Acting as contract manager for of external IT audit and compliance assignments
* Development of external IT Audit methodology
* Oversight of fieldwork including managing / guiding / reviewing junior staff
* Drafting audit reports including audit findings and recommendation
* Liaising with audit staff and client management to ensure that all aspects of the audit process are satisfactorily completed
* Managing the IT audit team/unit together with the other Managers, Directors and Partners
* Contributing to the development and training of IT audit staff
* Managing deliverables and expectations as well as review the quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by more junior team members to ensure that deliverables meet our client's quality standards

Requirements:
* Minimum of 5-6 years of experience with an accounting firm, advisory services firm, or a large multinational organisation conducting information technology audits
* Previous experience managing external audits
* Strong track record in auditing ITAC's, ITGCs and interface controls
* Ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment
* Self-motivated with a strong technical background
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong interest in the continued development of the IT audit function
* Strong written, presentation and oral skills
* Internal control project management skills
* Excellent organisational and planning capabilities
* Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills
* Willingness to travel and manage international assignments

Nice to Have(s):
* Knowledge and experience in audit interrogation tools (ACL, IDEA, etc.)
* Experience in the audit of ERPs
* ISAE 3042, SOC1 audit experience
* Strong interest in the continued development of the IT audit function
* CISA qualification.
* Accounting qualification.
