IT Auditor

Role:
Our client is a leading professional services firm based in Dublin. They are one of the few firms in Ireland to employ a dedicated team of technical IT and Security Auditors who work exclusively on IT Audit and Security assignments.
They place great emphasis on continuous staff development and provide excellent opportunities to acquire new technical skills. They maintain an internal IT and Security Audit testing lab facility on site and all staff are required to spend 30% of their time in training and the use of this facility, ensuring that their technical knowledge and practical IT audit skills remain current and reflect best practice.

The IT Audit and Security services include:
* Outsourced IT audit
* Co-sourced IT audit
* External IT audit support
* Data analysis and interrogation
* IT audit and security
* IT infrastructure audit
* Penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
* IT risk management
* IT forensic support
* Data protection audit
* Third party standard compliance audit

Main Responsibilities:
* Examining, documenting and assessing IT and system controls for clients
* Planning and testing of IT controls
* Advising on and assisting with the remediation of control deficiencies
* Providing advice to clients on IT controls and information security
* Drafting management reports detailing issues found and recommendations to resolve them
* Liaising with financial and internal audit staff and client management to ensure that all aspects of the audit and compliance process are satisfactorily completed

*Successful candidates must be available to travel/commute outside of the Dublin office at least 40% of the time.

Requirements:
* 3+ years' IT auditing experience in a professional services firm
* IT, systems, business or similar primary degree
* A registered audit qualification - CISA, CISM or equivalent
* Excellent knowledge of technology (applications, infrastructure, best practice, controls)
* Advanced written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment
* A dedication to teamwork
* Understanding of risk management, governance and internal audit
* Excellent client management skills

Nice to Have(s):
* Knowledge and experience in audit interrogation tools (ACL, IDEA, TOAD etc.)
* Knowledge of best practice IT audit principles and practices
* Knowledge of SAP or Oracle Financials
* Knowledge of financial applications
* ISAE3042/ SSAE16/ Soc 1 and 2 audit experience
* Strong interest in the continued development of the IT audit function
* Knowledge of COBIT, ISACA, ITIL ISO 17799 standards
