About the role:
We are searching for a talented Software Developer to join our team based in Belfast and help deliver our award-winning services to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of internal and external customer-driven applications, including CMS configuration, front-end presentation layer, business logic handling and back-end database integration
Main Duties:
* Analysis of customer requirements (including direct contact meetings) and assisting with project budgeting and scheduling
* Application design including data flows, core logic and back-end database integration
* Configuration of Kentico CMS, implementation of webparts and widgets, page templates and document types etc
* Implementation of presentation layer (e.g. HTML/CSS/JS front-end), application logic and back-end database structures
* Maintenance and evaluation of changes to existing applications (both in-house and 3rd party developments)
* Adhering to in-house standards on coding style e.g. annotation/indentation, naming conventions, processes and aiding the further development of the above, as well as formal standards such as WAI AA accessibility and W3C best practices for HTML/CSS
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years' proven experience of web-based/intranet application programming and database design/integration with particular knowledge of NET (C#), Transact-SQL, HTML CSS and Javascript.
* Previous experience in producing compliant and accessible websites
* Proven experience of project management fundamentals would be an advantage
* Preferred skills/experience of: SQL Server, Visual Studio, IIS, Office and other Microsoft software
Skills:
* Proven ability to analyse/develop/maintain web, intranet and extranet sites to company specifications at any point in a project lifecycle
* Able to utilise rapid development techniques in an agile environment
* Able to formulate queries and develop functionality with minimum impact on infrastructure.
Other:
* Prepared to work overtime as required from time to time for development schedules
