An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As a Software Engineer within our simulation team, you’ll contribute to the development of tools that will be used to train, test, prototype and validate self-driving systems within a virtual environment.
Working closely with engineers from all areas of the self-driving system, you’ll understand and document simulation requirements, before planning, developing and delivering the tools they require. You’ll develop both open and closed loop simulations; creating realistic, complex interactions that simulate vehicle dynamics between multiple actors.
With a focus on future projects and technologies, this is a fast moving and challenging role. But in return, we offer the opportunity to make a real difference to our rapidly growing business, along with all the career progression opportunities you’d expect from a global business.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
With a degree, masters or PhD in engineering, robotics, computer science or a related field, you’ll be experienced in building simulations for industry and/or research. Alongside excellent C++ programming and software design skills, you’ll also need strong mathematical skills – including linear algebra, numerical methods, and stochastic methods. Given all of this, you’ll have a real passion for solving challenging, impactful problems.
It would be an advantage if you also have experience in large-scale cloud infrastructure (G-Cloud or AWS), optimising modern GPU hardware, and hardware-in-the-loop systems used in automotive.
BENEFITS
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation where you'll receive a competitive salary and benefits package and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team.
