I’m currently recruiting for a client of mine working in the PaaS space in Dublin. They’re a U.S. based company with growing presence here in Dublin, and they want to bring on-board a Senior DevOps Engineer to guide on strategy, roadmapping and technical direction along with extensive hands-on technical work.
In brief, any engineer with a strong background in CI/CD, scripting and working with automation tools who’s interested in the next step in their career, this environment would be a perfect opportunity to take on added responsibility.
The Opportunity:
You will join an already established team of 5-6 very talented engineers from various backgrounds to help guide their technical direction (which cloud solutions to adopt, proof-of-concept, etc).
You will be handed a large amount of technical leadership, along with the autonomy to develop and implement your own working processes to make work as efficient as possible.
You will be given on-the-job training so and professional training materials so you’re constantly developing as you progress
The working environment is AWS focused. Other technologies used include Docker & Kubernetes for containerisation and the Atlassian suite among a host of other up-to-date DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, TeamCity, Terraform).
What You’ll Need:
A background in DevOps/Build & Release/Site Reliability or Operations Engineering in which you were exposed to CI/CD pipelines and worked with some of the automation tools mentioned above (other tools are also used)
A background working with cloud solutions (Preferably AWS, experience with Azure/GCS would also be considered)
Scripting experience (Python highly preferred - Any other languages also useful)
An open and collaborative attitude towards problem-solving and an ability & willingness to adapt and provide flexibility
