Principal Technical Architect (Limerick).
Our client is a well established international company in the fast paced international telecoms software sector. They have a large software development centre in Limerick City, and due to continued expansion, they have retained PBRecruitment to hire a Principal Technical Architect. Job description:
As a key member of the software design team, you will be at the heart of everything that happens, be it a small product enhancement or the implementation of a multi-million pound end-to-end communications platform. You’ll work directly with communications service providers, with the network operators and with the many other support system providers which make up the solutions team.
As a customer facing Software Architect you will lead complex projects and work in collaboration with other teams to improve product functionality, contribute to the product roadmap and keep up to date with the latest technologies. Business focussed and working to turn technical language into business meaning, you’ll work with customers to define requirements and implement solutions which meet their needs.
Required skills and experience:
You have a primary degree in a relevant subject area (Electronic Engineering, Computer Science etc.) and you have a solid background in enterprise scale Java software design and development. You have a deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle and you should be confident that you can both steer a team (technically) and also develop core parts of the system, in an Agile environment.
Some experience of Spring (Core, Security, MVC, AOP), XSLT, ANT, JMS, SAML, OpenID) is essential for this position.
Exposure to any of the following would be desirable (but are not required):
· WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat
· Web Services – REST / SOAP
· Javascript frameworks (Angular JS, Ember JS)
· Hazelcast
· Databases – DB2, Oracle, MySql, SQL, Hibernate, MyBatis
· Jira / Confluence
· Eclipse
