IT Security Analyst, Kerry

Reporting to the Head of Systems and Security, the Security Analyst will be responsible for several different security activities as part of the broader Systems Administration team. These include penetration testing (ethical hacking), vulnerability scanning, managing IDS systems, security research and investigation, developing and maintaining security documentation and policies, keeping up to date with the latest industry security standards, keeping up to date with PCI-DSS & ISAE 3402 compliance standards.
You will be responsible for daily reviews of security systems and engaging with both internal and external clients regarding security scans, pentests, IDS events etc. You will respond to security events and work within the Incident response team to rectify any issues raised and you will assess any issues or security alerts raised through the security industry and perform risk assessments.
You are am ambitious IT professional with good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. You enjoy working as part of a team and you have the ability to prioritise and remain focused in a busy and dynamic environment. You have a broad background in IT/software, with a passion for IT security and at least one – three years’ experience of working in an IT security role, gained in the programming, analysis or networking technology sector.
You should have a good background in networking (particularly in TCP/IP), which should include networking, security standards and problem solving methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a security related certification (Security+, CEH, OSCP, GIAC, CISSP, SSCP Security+, CEH, OSCP, GIAC, CISA).
