Currently seeking an experienced Web Developer for a new role that has opened with Ireland's Leading newspaper and media group based in the heart of Dublin City!

The role:

* This position is responsible for the development, testing, release and support of ad and web
initiatives and services
* The ideal candidate will work with other developers, designers and product/business managers to develop new features consistent with the product roadmap
* The ideal candidate must be innovative, contributing ideas and working with others to evaluate and propose approaches that balance speed to market needs against processes needed to scale services to all markets and total audience
* The ideal candidate must maintain awareness in technology developments that affect either our audience's ability to use our products or extend new product potential

What you need to bring to the table:

*Experience developing a public facing Web site on both desktop and mobile is essential to this role
*Experience of ad unit implementation and testing essential
*Rich Media Vendor technology experience (e.g., Sizmek, Celtra, Vindico, Pointroll)
*Experience to work with PHP, MySQL, Javascript and CSS essential
*Experience with ad delivery systems essential ( DFP, DMP etc.)
*Experience of ad unit implementation and testing
*Experience in web-based application development
*Experience integrating DFP and DMP in a web environment.
*Experience in application security development, version control, bug tracking and web standards
*BSc in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
*3 years minimum experience with HTML and CSS
*3 years minimum Web programming experience, including PHP and Javascript
*2 year minimum experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of SQL.

SKILLS
*Expertise in using Google Publisher Tags, Sizmek etc.
*Skilled in ad unit implementation and testing
*Experience with ad delivery systems essential ( DFP, DMP etc.)
*Ability to work with PHP, MySQL, Javascript and CSS essential
*Experience of ad unit implementation and testing
*Skilled in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and dealing with SQL relational databases
*Experience in Git, Vagrant, Linux systems, Apache and Memcached
*Development experience using extensible web authoring tools
*Ability to design test and debug complex web based systems
*The ideal candidate possesses an innovative but disciplined approach to technology development, experience with ad delivery and implementation mechanics, and possesses
