Linux Systems Admin - Contract (Dublin)
Our client is an impressive organisation, operating within the financial sector. With an ever-increasing consumer base, they are well placed to deliver exciting projects for their key clients. Due to an increased work load, our client is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Admin to join their team on a contract basis.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience on Linux OS
* Strong scripting skills with experience in Python, Perl and Bash
* 3rd level qualification in a related subject
* Experience with Cloud technology (AWS, Azure or others) is ideal
Responsibilities:
* Performing daily system administration and problem resolution tasks including installation monitoring maintenance tuning and backups of servers and systems.
* Assisting in the development and ongoing maintenance of documentation standards and procedures to maximise system integrity availability security and performance.
* Define and maintain best practice standards and processes to enforce them within the virtual infrastructure and cloud service areas including User account, permission groups, roles, structure, naming, updates, patching and monitoring.
* Coordinate and provide clear communication with external third parties during project implementations.
* Provide support to the Service Desk team
* Undertake visits to all Company sites to provide technical assistance
* Identify common threats and challenges to cloud services and supporting IT resources.
