Main responsibilities:
• Compile test case and technical documentation
• Identify and document bugs within assigned projects
• Collaborate with other team members in day-to-day tasks
• Assist and owns tasks in test plan development and automation testing
• Analyse and troubleshoot issues with software and environment
• Deploy application code to QA environment and maintain environment integrity
• Work directly with development and system administrators in troubleshooting problems
• Work with other teams on integration and end-to-end testing
• Meet and adapts to changing deadlines
• Complete tasks independently and as part of a team to prioritize.
• Solve moderately complicated problems requiring independent thinking
• Understand team strategy and objectives
• Serve as an individual contributor and team member
• Write test automation code and builds test automation suites
• Design and develop tests (both automated and manual) to be performed.
• Ensure quality of application for customer usability and maintainability
• Create, review and maintain test cases and plans
• Review new requirements and devise new test scenarios and scripts, suggest new feature improvements for the solution
• Review and updating of installation documentation and releases notes
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Experience working in an Agile software development team
• Experience with performing moderately difficult Database SQL queries (Mysql/Oracle environment is an advantage)
• Solid experience with at least one major issue tracking systems (Jira, Mantis, etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience with core web front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and foundation-level JavaScript
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal English-language communications skills
Advantageous Skills & Experience :
• Operating systems: Windows , Linux
• Databases: MySQL, MsSQL, PostgreSQL
• Other: TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, Web services, Performance/Load testing, Selenium, Automation, Hudson
• Experience with Test automation tools (Selenium etc.) is an advantage
• Experience in working on multiple projects in parallel, dealing with a high profile and rapid turnaround pace, and being able to interpret company priorities into personal priorities are required
• Experience in the automation of testing front-end web applications (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML)
• Experience in the automation of testing back-end web systems (Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, REST Web services)
• Experience with test automation tools, particularly JMeter and Selenium
• Working knowledge of Java programming language
• Working knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, shell scripting)
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across browsers (e.g. JavaScript, jQuery, CSS)
• Knowledge of web site and web server optimisation and performance tuning techniques
• History of creativity, innovative thought, awareness of current technical trends and high levels of performance and motivation
• Knowledge of continuous integration and build an advantage
• Experience in System Application Testing in a QA role
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years software testing experience
• Deep knowledge of the software development and test processes
• Strong analytical skills
