The Job: Day to Day tasks
Follow documented procedures for the Test Automation Development Life Cycle
Follow documented coding standards and naming conventions.
Conduct code reviews with other technical specialists and collaborate with systems leadership to define and execute Automation roadmaps and strategies.
As QA Automation Engineer youwill develop and maintain automation code and documentation within an approved versioning control system.
Perform unit tests on the automation code
Track and manage automation defects reported by the test analysts using a bug reporting tool
Respond to enhancement requests and provide test analysts with technical support as needed.
Investigate and become an expert in tools that support the various stages of the Test Automation Development LifeCycle.
Develop, document and implement company-wide best practices, frameworks, processes, operational activities and procedures in relation to automation.
Your Profile:
QA Automation Engineer with 3 years managing an organisations QA automation team and have experience with client/server technology and knowledge of system testing principles
5+ years’ experience in information technology leadership roles
3+ years hands-on software automation experience testing multi-tier enterprise applications
Ability to provide technical training and mentoring to other members of staff.
Ability to analyse requirements and answer complex customer queries.
A QA Automation Engineer with bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
ISTQB or other relevant industry certifications a plus
