Senior Data Governance Analyst required for global financial technology company based in Dublin 18 (beside Green Luas). The role will work within an expanding local Data Governance Team, who have responsibility for the management of the Data Governance programmes across all the business lines.
Responsibilities:
· Understand and document the reporting process by completing SIPOCs (process flows) from the point of originating system/data entry to end report production, capturing inherent risks, existing controls, identifying control weaknesses, recommending remediation activities and monitoring/reporting on business progress against agreed remediation actions
· Supporting data lineage efforts for agreed critical data elements
· Work with the business and Data analysts on the Data Governance team to define data quality rules and tolerances for key business elements and critical data elements
· Helping to define remediation projects to address data quality and process control findings
· Supporting the local Chief Data Officer on all aspects of establishing appropriate Data Quality governance forums, policies, processes, procedures and general data quality training and awareness
· Implementation and ongoing development and delivery of Risk Frameworks and supporting policies and procedures
Requirements:
· 5+ years relevant experience, with significant financial services and/or Payments exposure
· Understanding the components of Data Governance
· Experience in data analytics
· Track record of developing and implementing business/technical solutions in a financial services environment
· Experience in process mapping, capturing process flows
· Completing process risk and control assessments
· Risk and control identification and testing of controls
· Must have strong stakeholder management, customer focus and communication skills
