Job Title: Software Engineer

My client is a leading video games publisher and due to demand have a vacancy for a Software Engineer to join their team.
You will work in an innovative and creative environment on their Test Automation Platform to be involved with product improvement and future development.

Software Engineer Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or Software Engineering or equivalent.
* A minimum of 3+ years of industry technical experience with application development in C# .NET
* A minimum of 1+ years of industry technical experience with object oriented programming in C++
* Experience with Service Oriented Architectures and Web Services is a plus. Specifically using WCF for inter-service communication.
* Knowledge and proficiency with MS SQL and ADO.NET is essential
* Proven ability to analyze and root cause issues in production systems. This includes:
* Utilize log files and windows logs to determine and root cause issues
* Analysis of CPU and memory spikes on production servers and root causing these spikes
* Utilizing performance metrics and monitoring to ensure application health and uptime
* Familiarity with advanced debugging techniques, connecting and debugging remote processes and troubleshooting callstacks and dmp files.
* Experience with socket programming and network communication. Developing and debugging applications sending and receiving data over TCP/IP sockets on peer to peer basis in an asynchronous fashion.
* Familiarity with multi-threaded systems that requires the processing of a high number of events and data volumes
* Industry technical experience with console game development is a plus
* Knowledge with Configuration Management, especially with designing, building and maintaining Continuous Integration systems and Test Automation systems.
* Knowledge of Jenkins CI, Perforce, vSphere / VMware, server Configuration Management
* Knowledge of test automation and/or development process improvements.
* Knowledgeable in software lifecycle, modern testing methods and good understanding of continuous integration.
* Demonstrated problem solving and innovation skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible - able to adapt plans and react to change.
