Data Analysis - Machine Learning
As a Data Scientist you'll work side by side with Developers, Engineers and Product Managers in a dynamic, hands on team environment as we bring technology innovation and fresh data insights to our product roadmap.
Responsibilities
* Perform analysis on large-scale datasets from live mobile networks - such as segmentation, classification, optimisation, time series & regression analysis, clustering, association
* Research, implement and evaluate models, techniques and algorithms for predictive data analytics
* Develop machine learning models to uncover and analyse behaviours, patterns and trends in mobile network data and learn statistical relationships between distributed datasets
* Enhance our product automation through building profiling and decision algorithms
* Work closely with the development team to build rich data visualisation into our software applications using bespoke or third party tools
* Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of network engineers and software developers where you'll take ownership of turning data analysis ideas and innovation into real insights and applications for our customers
* Support our business, product management and service delivery functions with data analysis and reports
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements
* Bachelor 2.1 degree, or above in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or any related discipline essential (Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
* Hands on experience implementing models such as: Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Deep Learning Hidden Markov Models
* Experience with at least one scripting language, e.g. R, Octave, and one programming language, e.g. Python, C#/C++, Java
* Experience researching, evaluating and applying new data analytics techniques, tools and methodologies
* Demonstrable experience with data presentation and visualisation techniques
* Experience performing data organisation and transformation tasks such as combining, breaking down and mapping data.
* Strong analytical & problem solving skills, capable of understanding business requirements and analysing large datasets to uncover network and business insights
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within cross-functional teams and convey your message to team members and stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
Knowledge/Experience in some or all of the following is desirable
* Masters degree in relevant field such as Machine Learning, Big Data Platforms or Data Analytics a distinct advantage
* Experience with Database technologies, relational and non-relational e.g. SQL, Hadoop, MongoDB
* Experience in data cleansing; performing tasks like identifying incomplete, incorrect and irrelevant parts of data and then replacing, modifying or deleting this data
* Exposure to data processing at enterprise application scale a benefit
* Familiarity with software product development lifecycle
* Demonstrable leadership experience
* Knowledge of Telecommunications networks and standards such as GSM, UMTS, LTE
