IT Infrastructure Manager

Our client are an International Organisation within the Consumer Products and Services sector. The Company are experiencing massive growth and due to their continued success, they are currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager, the remit will cover both Infrastructure design and Operations. These teams are integral to the overall success of the group; with responsibility for ensuring infrastructure stability, capacity planning and support of the Infrastructure environment. The role also covers end to end design of all infrastructure standards, deliverables and roadmaps in conjunction with 3rd party vendor/suppliers and a team of Inhouse design engineers.

 

Your role with incorporate strategic development for the Infrastructure operations including people, process, technology etc.,

Build key relationships at senior level within the business to promote understanding of the ICT Function.

Develop/own Infrastructure roadmaps

Provide Capex/Opex budgetary information for yearly budget submission.

You will ensure that the technical architecture can deliver service level requirements, availability, capacity, Reliability etc.

You will have excellent people skills, working with vendors/suppliers to ensure maintenance of a fully functional ICT Infrastructure environment; building strong relationships between IT Operations and internal customers.

You will have accountability for all aspects of Infrastructure Operations services including those delivered by Service/partners, resolving issues, driving stability, major incident management to prevent recurrence of issues and identify root cause,

 

Overall responsibility for management of Infrastructure design, delivered through the design team, driving consistency in the design, ensuring adherence to design criteria and standards.

Through your team, provide a focus for SLA management and customer satisfaction, implementing a continuous service improvement programme, ensuring efficient processes are in place to deliver service improvements.

Your role will also encompass Vendor/partner management, Change control, ensuring all changes to the live environment are assessed, improved, implemented and reviewed in a controlled manner.

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with circa 10 years’ experience in a technology environment, preferably in a customer facing role.

Solid people management experience, proven ability in striving for continuous improvement, driving efficiencies and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Commercial aware with practical budget management experience and a track record of working with commercial vendors,

Solid project management and service management capabilities i.e. Incident management, change. Asset management. An ITIL accreditation would be beneficial.

Personality wise you will be an excellent communicator, a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
