Our client is currently seeking a talented VR/ Game Audio Programmer to work on next generation spatial audio solutions for games and VR applications on PC, console and mobile platforms.
This is a permanent role. The location is very flexible, finding the right person is most important.

-Your passion is the code, but the final product drives you.
-You’re an excellent C++ programmer with a bag of tricks – you know when to use them, and when not to.
-You’ve got strong maths skills in the areas of 3D geometry or signal processing.
-You’re a techie at heart but understand the creative process of game and VR development. You’re not scared to pick up the creative tools such as Sound Forge, Wwise, Unity, Ableton, etc.
-We can all write code from scratch – you’ll need to do that, but working with others’ code is cool too – you know when to improve it and when to leave it alone.
-You’re confident working in a team, you know when to work with the team and when to get your head down
-You’re a problem solver and can quickly find the key factors required to make it work.
-You’re a planner – you know what you know, what you don’t and can adapt accordingly.
-You’re decisive – you decide how to approach a problem, you know when it’s done and when to move on or try a different approach.
-You’ve got your areas of expertise, but you know how to take on something new without fear – you adapt quickly.
-You lead by example – sharing your knowledge and learning from others is part of your core.
-You know how to share your understanding of technology with people who don’t have a detailed technical background.
-B.Sc. in computer science, or equivalent.
-3 or more years of solid C++ in a production environment.
-Strong to expert level maths (3D Geometry, Signal Processing or other relevant areas).
-Production experience working with Wwise, FMOD, Unity, Unreal.
-Demonstrable background in Audio DSP or algorithm development.
-Cross platform development including Android, iOs or game consoles.
Extras that will help:
– 1 or more published game titles (or products used in published game titles) or experience in other creative/technical development environment.
– VR SDKs such as Morpheus or Occulus
-Content development using middleware tools.
-Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
