Lead Machine Learning Scientist

An experienced professional with a vast knowledge of machine learning is required!!

My client requires a confident and experienced machine learning specialist to join their ever-evolving data science team!! My client is in the middle of a big revamp of the analytics within it and they seek a data scientist with a focus on machine learning to come in and really take control of the team. The team is small at the moment and lacks and leader and sense of direction, there is a big focus on machine learning in my client's analytics and so this is where the successful candidate comes in to play. The right data scientist will get to really make the role their own and work very closely with the CTO to implement their own ideas and really set the direction of this department. You need to be a good decisionmaker as you will be involved in all the big decisions in the company, some of these will be solely on you. This is an excellent opportunity for the right machine learning expert.

* You need to be a machine learning expert - part of the role will involve you implementing machine learning further into the department and into the work we do
* You need to have 5+years in a related role and at least 2 of these in a senior position
* You must have at minimum a third level degree
* You must have experience in building a team and being part of the recruitment process from start to finish
* You need to be experienced in Python and R
* You need to have experience with visualization tools such as tableau or QlikView
* You need to have experience with the Apache frameworks mainly Spark, Hadoop and Lucene

* Preference given to MSc then PhD holders
* Preference given to those with experience in a lead/head/senior position
* Preference given to those that have experience with PERL/Scala/Java/C languages
* Preference given to those who are comfortable with the Python libraries

* Salary: 80-100k
