Data Science Consultant

A really exciting opportunity for an experienced data scientist to join a fast paced and trend setting environment. My client is a popular household name and are completely dominating their field at the minute. They have a really clear-cut vision of what they want and how they are going to use data science to get it. They are seeking an experienced (preferably 3-5 years) data scientist to help them answer questions and provide advice and support on what the data science shows and how to implement this into the business in a way that produces value. You will be expected to present finding in a simple to understand manner and to then provide support on how to act upon these findings. You need to be able to work both in a team (usually taking the lead) and alone using your own initiative.

Requirements

* Third level degree (preferably a MSc or PhD)
* At least 3 years' experience in a relevant field
* Previous experience with machine learning algorithms
* Proficient with python, R, SQL, SAS (or similar)
* Proficient with Qlikview, Hadoop, Apache spark (or similar)
* Previous experience working under agile conditions
* Ability to handle multiple data sets and big data sets easily
* Experience deriving insights and visualizing these in an appropriate manner
* Good communication skills
* Good organisational skills
* Experience working in teams
* Experience working under minimal supervision

The salary for this role is dependent on the person and their experience, the role also comes with a benefits package including pension and VHI
