Title: Java Developer

My client are looking for talented a Java Developer to join their R&D team in Limerick.

You will join a diverse team with offices in the UK and US and have a keen ambition to progress within your career. The team is involved with developing exclusive ERP solutions for manufacturers in an Agile environment.

Java Developer Responsibilities:

* Participate in development activities including solution design and review, development, unit testing, and code review
* Collaborate with the project team
* Participate in team and project meetings
* Adhere to Scrum methodology and team standards

Java Developer Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
* Proficient in at least one modern programming language such as Java
* Detailed-oriented with strong observational and analytical skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in scripting languages, Java, Python, and build tools such as ANT or Maven
* Familiar with Unix/Linux Operating Systems
* Experience with Progress OpenEdge
* Experience in a Support or DevOps role
* Familiar with database concepts and operations
* Experience working in an Agile or Scrum team
* Experience working in a globally dispersed team
* Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence and Bamboo)
* Experience with environment configuration management and deployment tools such as Docker, Chef, Puppet, and virtualization
