Python Developer / SQL Developer
My client is an established, medium sized company with a reputation for providing quality services in their niche industry. The Technology Division is focussed on the delivery of cloud based application solutions & services.
We are looking for a Python Developer, Database developer or software engineer with expertise in designing and implementing database-backed software systems.
As part of a small development team, you will be responsible for designing a data structure for a large distributed system and APIs that frontend interfaces can use to interact with that system. You will also develop software to automate a range of internal processes and to produce live data and statistics across the system. In addition you will have responsibility for outlining desired interfaces and engaging with the frontend developers who will be building them.
Essentially you will be building out the database structure/framework for a new software product, collaborating with the software engineers who have been developing the core engine of the software.
Your role will involve:
* Designing and implementing Database designs
* Designing and coding APIs
* Designing frontend libraries
* Creating wireframes
You should have a solid work history and the following experience:
* 5+ years experience designing and developing Software/database frameworks in Python or similar.
* Strong relational database expertise is also essential, such as MySQL, Postgres / PostgreSQL and other open source technologies.
* RESTful API Design
* Strong Javascript & Linux skills are advantageous
Any experience in the areas of Anti-virus software, e-mail threat and vulnerability applications, messaging solutions or related areas is highly desirable.
