Data Architect - AVP

Permanent Role

Location: Dublin

Overview:

You will be joining the Dublin Chief Data Office as a Data Architect with Business knowledge on financial services and hands-on experience with various financial industry standards. You will represent the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Chief Data Architect (CDA) in Dublin and cooperate with colleagues across the DataLab in Dublin. You will be reporting directly into the Chief Data Architect based in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

* Cooperating with the DataLab team in all kinds of data mining and project activities
* Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for cross divisional important projects in relation to data architectural issues and data mining activities to facilitate analysis tasks of the CDA
* Data analysis of existing CIB / Global Transaction Banking (GTB) systems in relation to Reference Data Services (RDS)
* Developing a data strategy and a conceptual data model for CIB / GTB
* Supporting data delivery for the introduction of a golden source for CIB / GTB for parties, products, instruments and common reference data
* Coordinating and supporting groups in the business who need data architectural help
* Cooperating with the Reference Data Manager who links into the bank wide Reference Data Services (RDS) programme
* Data oriented tasks for the adoption of all CIB systems across locations to RDS

Skills & Qualifications:

* Educated to Bachelor's degree level or experience in Information Technology (IT) or Banking (or equivalent qualification / work experience)
* Previous experience in data modelling, business intelligence, analytics, canonical data model definition, data governance, data integration and data migration
* Software Development and database implementation (beneficial)
* Familiar with database design tools like Power Designer (beneficial)
* An understanding of business use cases and defining data domains that will structure multi-dimensional modelling
* Knowledge of workflows, systems and applications within a complex environment
* A basic understanding of Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance products, knowledge in Core Banking software
* Good Microsoft (MS) Office products knowledge (Access, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint)
* Skills in relational databases (Oracle) and Big databases (Hadoop) (beneficial)
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to work in an international environment
* Good communication skills
* Creative and proactive with an ability to work under pressure
* A self-motivated team player with a service and customer focus
