Security Tooling Service Engineer , for Infrastructure Operations - Bank of Ireland - Group Technology and Change

Bank of Ireland Technology Services team is growing its Cyber Security Service Management capabilities to meet growing demand. The purpose of this role will be to manage the technology underlying BOI`s expanding security technology portfolio. The purpose of the Technology Services team is to:

* Protect and maintain the technology that supports Bank of Ireland`s core business functions
* Provide a service integration layer between the bank`s business stakeholders and the technology vendors
* Manages relationships with the bank`s technology suppliers
* Ensure that the technology which supports BOI adheres to specified service level agreements
* Manages BOI`s network infrastructure including defining the bank`s infrastructure architecture

This is a new role within the group and a successful candidate will be responsible for helping to shape the service and operating model for the team.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for

* Provide technical production support, including managing the relationship with multiple vendors to protect BOI service and be the vendor`s primary point of contact within BOI
* Develop & maintain subject matter expertise in the tools that the team are responsible for managing and be the business` point of contact for knowledge about the service
* Develop an understanding of the component systems on the BOI Group Technology estate
* Manage Service Level Agreements with vendors and provide service assurance that KPIs are being met
* Identify, monitor and understand key risks to service including specific risks to the availability, capacity & compliance and highlight these to Technology Services senior management as appropriate
* Monitoring of the specific services assigned to the role and respond to technology incidents as necessary
* Work with the change delivery function with BOI to transition changes to service into the BAU technology services organisation
* Onboard new services into the BAU technology services organisation in a sustainable manner as required to meet the needs of the business
* Know and understand the security policies and standards that are relevant to GTaC managed systems
* Configuration & certificate management of managed services

Risk & Compliance:

* Maintain & monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions, to minimise business and IT risk
* Drive through identified Risks to closure including reporting of progress against each Risk relating to Messaging environment
* Ensure full compliance with all Group, Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards
* Full involvement during Internal / External Audit cycle that are carried out periodically where the Email Messaging environment will be part of the scope
* Support remediation of Audit Actions working closely with internal teams as required

Management Support:

* Positive and proactive participation within the team and active collaboration with colleagues across GTaC as appropriate
