Senior SQL Developer (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
realTime Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Senior SQL Developer for an interesting role based in Dublin City Centre.
Our Client is looking for a technically skilled individual who is interested in pursuing a role that focuses on MySQL and PostgreSQL. You will be involved with enriching and analysing extremely large data sets and will be expected to write complex stored procedures into PostgreSQL and MySQL. You will also participate in designing and developing database schemas and also be involved in database query optimisation.
This role is an opportunity to gain experience in open source technologies like NoSQL and also Big Data technologies and concepts.
This is a long term contract role - likely 6-12 month’s initially with 2-3 years’ worth of work on the horizon. Extremely competitive daily rates are on offer. They will also look at permanent applicants so the choice is yours.
Main Responsibilities:
� Code complex logic into PostgreSQL and MySQL stored procedures / functions
� Participate in designing and developing database schemas
� Database query optimisation
� Work within an Agile environment

Skills Required:
� Expert knowledge of Databases – preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL but other backgrounds will be considered (MS SQL/Oracle/Teradata etc.)
� Ability to code complex logic using a SQL Procedural Language
� Track record of working on extremely large (1 Terabyte+) relational databases

Advantageous:
� Exposure to Big Data technologies and concepts
