Software Tester / QA Analyst (2 permanent vacancies)
Location = South East Ireland
Reporting to the Data Services QA Manager, you will join a team of QA Analysts providing technical testing expertise to Enterprise applications, Web based systems, Database, Data / backend systems, predominantly based on Java, Oracle & SQL server with some software systems developed in Microsoft technologies.
You will take responsibility for creating & executing test cases within a fast paced IT Development environment. You will have a strong focus on quality assuring corporate Enterprise software systems or Database applications.
You must have an in-depth analytical approach to software testing and any business analysis skills are also desirable.
You must have a strong understanding of the SDLC and have strong test case creation & execution within a software systems development environment. You should have expertise testing applications developed in Java / J2EE, .NET or SQL Database technologies (like Oracle or SQL Server) together with the latest testing methodologies, best practices and metrics.
Ideally you will have a mix of testing experience - functional, regression, systems, performance testing. If the majority of your Test experience has been in UAT, your skills will not be strong enough for these roles.
Essential skills required:
* 3+ years experience in a Software Testing role
* Strong experience in testing Enterprise Software Applications or Database, SQL solutions
* Experience in the development of detailed test cases, test scripts and even test planning
* Experience of testing methodologies and managing test cycles
* Full testing lifecycle experience
* Good SQL knowledge
* Jira, Java or C# knowledge is advantageous
* Knowledge of QC - Quality Centre or similar test tools
Any experience of automation testing is advantageous but not essential.

Salary = €35-45K + bonus + benefits
