I have an excellent contracting opportunity for a Senior Java Developer within an R&D department of a leading technology company in Dublin. You will be joining a team of experts undertaking projects which have the potential to set new standards within their industry.
The role will be suited to a passionate Java developer who is at the top of their game who can work from a blank canvass and develop scalable, functioning solutions. With it being an R&D environment they operate a small number of key projects with the opportunity to "experiment" on some proof of concept work , its these POC projects where you can choose the toys you play with - Python, Scala, Nodejs, whatever works best!

Desired Skills / Experience

* 5+ years Java development experience
* Strong grasp of the Spring framework
* Ideally solid exposure to a modern Linux environment with cloud technologies
* Experience building highly scalable, highly available, high throughput software
* Exposure to an R&D environment or an academic research background would be nice
* An understanding of telecoms / network virtualisation / OSS / 4G / 5G / network orchestration / network protocols etc are desired
* They operate in an Agile environment
