For our client a leading media company based in Dublin city centre we are looking for a Data Engineer (Snowflake)
The ideal candidate will have worked as a part on an in-house Data team that covers a wide variety of areas including maintaining and evolving both new and existing data infrastructures
This is an initial 2 year FTC position with possibility to become permanent.
You will work hybrid structure 3 days a week on site/2 days remote
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
- Develop and plan data models.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to understand data needs and craft solutions.
- Uphold strict processes for documentation and deployment lifecycle management.
- Monitor data flow and quality to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
- Implement data security and privacy protocols.
- Support the transition to modern data technologies and uphold best practices.
- Share expertise and provide mentorship to fellow team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Profound knowledge and experience with Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Data Ops pipelines.
- Experience in handling large datasets and streaming data.
- Experience with ETL processes
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
