itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Senior DevOps Engineer - Grafana Infrastructure Specialist. This is a day contract remote position located with our client in Dublin, Ireland. This is a 6-month contract with possible extensions. Candidates must be located in the EU/UK.
Our client is developing an exciting project integrating a remote IOT management system on their estate. They are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in area of DevOps & Grafana/Apache Nifi to assist in the design, development, testing and go live of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Grafana Infrastructure Development:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in building and enhancing infrastructure and test environments from a Grafana point of view.
- Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of Grafana into the current design.
- Play a key role in the design and architecture of Grafana solutions.
- Product Deployment:
- Assist in the deployment of the current test product, working towards pushing it to the live environment.
- Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of the current product design.
- Technology Expertise:
- Utilise expertise in Apache NiFi and Grafana to optimise and scale data integration and monitoring solutions.
- Work with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.
- Design robust and scalable solutions in collaboration with the architecture team.
- Database Administration:
- Manage SQL databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Operating Systems and Cloud Platforms:
- Provide expertise in Windows OS administration.
- Leverage Azure cloud services to architect and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
- Hold Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Tools and Documentation:
- Utilise Jira and Confluence for effective project tracking and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodology.
- Containerisation and Automation:
- Implement and optimize Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for containerisation and infrastructure automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on Grafana infrastructure development.
- Expertise in Apache NiFi, Grafana, Azure DevOps, and SQL Database Administration.
- Proficiency in Windows OS administration and Azure cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence for documentation.
- Ideally one or both of the following certifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies certification.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
