We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require an AWS/Python Engineer to join them on a major financial services project project that's based 2/3 days per week in Dublin.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on Full stack development within a microservice architecture leveraging ReactJs, Typescript, Python and Java technology. As a new joiner you will be joining a global team and responsible to actively drive the design and implementation of various micro services Establish strong collaborative partnership with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals:
Job Responsibilities
* Hands on development leveraging Java 8 and above functional style development
* Knowledge of Scripting languages such as Python
* Planning and designing the cloud infrastructure with AWS
* Maintaining and deploying the cloud Microservices
* Developing new cloud-based solutions
* Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
* Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
* Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
* Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
* 10+ years of experience on Java8 or above
* Strong hands on experience with multi-threading
* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
* Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
* Proficient in coding in one or more languages
* Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
* Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
* Familiarity with AWS Lambda and Serverless API
* Exposure to cloud technologies
* Nice to have hands on experience on Typescript
