This recruitment competition, for ICT Infrastructure and Operations Specialists at Executive Officer level, offers you an exciting chance to develop your digital and ICT career in the Civil Service and to be a part of delivering on our digital government vision for the future.

The ICT Infrastructure and Operations Specialist at Executive Officer level is an entry-level role. This competition offers you an opportunity to develop a career in ICT, working for one of a variety of organisations, including some of the largest organisations in the State. These roles will suit you if you are interested in supporting end users in your organisation to maximise their use of ICT and digital services as well as helping to manage your organisation’s ICT infrastructure and associated services across a range of leading technologies and solutions. Many of the candidates who were successful in recent competitions are now integral members of teams who were instrumental in the Government’s response to the pandemic and delivered critical projects of national importance and public prominence.

A panel will be formed from this competition to fill ICT Specialist vacancies across Civil Service organisations and government departments and offices.

Although the majority of vacancies arising over the lifetime of the panel will be located in the wider Dublin area, a limited number of vacancies may also arise in some regional locations, such as the Central Statistics Offices in Cork, the Department of Education in Athlone and the Department of Social Protection in Sligo, which may also be filled from this panel.
