This opportunity is with a scaling software business in the music licensing industry which is home to a few hundred employees across the US and Europe. The organisation is setting to build out a presence in Ireland, bringing jobs to the tech market.
The business is in scaling mode and making acquisitions which has lead to a new leadership gap for someone to oversee IT Security, compliance, IT policies, governance and risk.
The opportunity:
You will be be one of, if not the very first hire made in Ireland which brings a lot of opportunity to be a key player in the growth of the Irish office.
The core mandate of this position is to own the governance, risk and compliance side of the IT function as well as playing a key role on the system/end point security capability. As the business rapidly scales and acquires other organisations, you will identify and implement IT policies that will be rolled out globally across the business as well as ensuring IT Security processes are adhered to across the business user group.
Previously relying on suppliers for this work, this is as close to a greenfield opportunity in a tech scale-up as can be found in the market.
Example responsibilities:
* Manage and enforce security, GDPR and other compliances within the company
* Ensure ISO 27001 & SOC 2 compliance and develop check routines on the basis of ISO27001 for IT operations
* Ensure secure architecture and procedures for our: a. IT systems, b. Cloud systems/databases, c. On-prem systems
* You will oversee user accounts, subscriptions, permissions, domains, emails, mailing lists, and groups, as well as employee onboarding
* Triage and evaluate software updates for all OS used in the company before they are rolled out in every employee workstation
* Handling compliance and associated certifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, setting up and maintaining Workforce SSO, developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and reliability of the organization's systems and data
* You will be responsible for overseeing IT projects, ensuring that they are executed within the designated timeline, within budget, and according to specifications
* You will manage and lead the IT team, assigning tasks, setting performance goals, and providing guidance, training and support.
* You will manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring that service level agreements are met and that vendors provide high-quality services at reasonable prices.
* You will also ensure 3rd party coverage for post-incident response
* You will run regular security audits
What you bring:
* Experience in an IT Security and Compliance management in a business with people
* A technical background which enables you to work well with engineers
* Good understanding of networking protocols and security principles
* Experience in applying ISO 27001 and ideally SOC 2
* Excellent communication skills that enable you to thrive in a multi-national organisation
