An exciting opportunity for a highly qualified software engineer to join our client’s team, who has the necessary background. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing user needs in their capacity as a software engineer. They will write and test code, improve and rewrite it as necessary, and interact with any project-related programmers. The software engineer will report to the CTO.

Responsibilities:
- Overview the general architecture of the solution (Clojure, AWS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Write elegant code for:
- Our RESTful API endpoints (Clojure, PostgreSQL/DynamoDB)
- Web apps (Reagent, ClojureScript, AngularJS)
- Backend functionalities (Clojure)
- Perform code reviews
- Build unit tests for functionalities implemented (Clojure/Midje)
Basic Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer
- CI experience
- AngularJS or React.
- JavaScript, preferred – TypeScript/CoffeeScript/ClojureScript.
- Bootstrap or other CSS framework
- Clojure – or Python or Ruby or Java or Scala or NodeJS or Go server programming experience.
- Git/Mercurial experience
- Unit test frameworks experience
- Ability to demonstrate strong active listening skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a tax company and/or environment or similar a distinct advantage.
- AWS experience (EC2/DynamoDB/RDS) an advantage.
- PSP integration experience is an advantage.
- User Experience expertise is an advantage.
- Performance testing expertise is an advantage.
