itContracting are recruiting for an experienced Technical Product Owner to join the team of their Dublin based client. This is a day rate contract role, with an initial duration of 6 months but with potential to extend. 2 days required on-site per week.
Role Description: Our client requires an experienced IT/Technical Product Owner to work on and lead the product ownership in one stream of their IT investment programme to support the delivery of a portfolio of high-profile business enhancing and customer-facing initiatives to drive their large-scale transformation. The Product Owner will be the outcome owner, focused on ensuring the IT platforms deliver both business and customer value. You will be accountable for the platform lifecycle, including design, delivery and operations. You will be empowered to make decisions and negotiate priority, scope and requirements with impacted stakeholders. You will be responsible for one or two of the following platform work streams; Web, Applications, Core Platforms, Data, Integrations & Market, or Infrastructure & Tools.
Role Requirements:

- Define the vision of the product & platform in collaboration with key stakeholders and socialise with the team
- Evolve the product road map based on customer, product team and business feedback, linked to business outcomes
- Oversee product priorities, resource requirements, development stages working with leadership to attain further funding as required
- Anticipating customer needs, managing the product backlog and prioritising needs based on value delivered
- Act as primary liaison for business product owners and maintain business engagement to educate on the product’s growth, strategic value and investment case
- Turn the product vision into an actionable backlog
- Remove impediments to product progress and assist with work dependencies, risks and issues
- Support business leaders and stakeholders in preparation for implementation and change management in product roll-out & enhancements
- Determine developments to the strategic road map based on business strategy changes
- Monitor platform performance, manage under-performance and address where necessary.
- Ensure that IT/business strategy, policy and standards are adhered to, thus achieving commonality and ease of maintenance.
- Analyse problems, action and progress issues as appropriate, ensuring follow through to resolution.
- Actively contribute to retrospective reviews
