WHAT TO EXPECT

As a software test engineer you will be responsible for verification & validation activities within Assisted & Automated Driving. You will evolve and develop the multi-year product roadmap the platform under development. You will be part of a strong and competent team with a complex and demanding stakeholder landscape, and your primary responsibilities are to help develop a robust test framework and V&V deliveries of our ADAS products.

In this role you will be developing automated test strategies and test frameworks, as well as creating and configuring test frameworks (automated and manual) and executing tests. In addition to this, you will also be developing automated tests ensuring seamless integration into the software developer workflow.

You will analyse and verify the best automated and manual test approaches, ensuring that 'technical debt' is avoided, whilst estimating tests in terms of functionality, performance and coverage. You will also be executing acceptance, integration, installation and system testing, recording results and verifying software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

You will be someone that has a strong level of experience in the analysis of user and technical software specifications as well as defining and executing robust test strategies and plans ensuring systems requirements are delivered. You will demonstrable experience of creating automated test systems to provide high-value testing with regards to functionality, performance and regression.

You will be someone that is confident using programming and scripting languages and has a strong knowledge of test automation techniques and methodologies. You will be capable of assisting in software test strategy design and the effective use of automation as well as software test planning and execution. In addition to this, you will also be capable of assisting in design analysis and test case creation.

Desirable:

• Experience of using automation/scripting languages (e.g Python/Bash)
• Knowledge of rig and vehicle instrumentation / measurement frameworks
• Experience in the automotive industry
